Lower rates of diarrhea and overall bowel dysfunction were reported with the use of neoadjuvant fluorouracil and oxaliplatin vs neoadjuvant pelvic chemoradiation with fluorouracil (5FCURT) in patients with locally advanced rectal cancer.
