In today’s episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with Adnan F. Danish, MD, about the use of SCINTIX biology-guided radiotherapy in patients with lung and bone tumors. Dr Danish is a radiation oncologist at John Theurer Cancer Center, Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. He is also chief of the Division of Radiation Oncology at St Joseph’s Health in Paterson, New Jersey.

On February 2, 2023, the FDA granted clearance to SCINTIX for the treatment of patients with primary or metastatic lung and bone tumors. SCINTIX also has FDA clearance for use in stereotactic body radiation therapy, intensity-modulated radiation therapy, and stereotactic radiosurgery for patients with all solid tumors.

In our exclusive interview, Dr Danish discussed current barriers to using radiotherapy for the treatment of patients with metastatic lung and bone cancers; the novel capabilities of SCINTIX technology; and how John Theurer Cancer Center plans to use this technology and help advance its role in the field of radiation oncology.
