Dr. Moreira on Launching the Global COVID-19 Observatory and Resource Center for Childhood Cancer

There are limited data regarding the impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) on pediatric patients with cancer, says Moreira.

As such, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in partnership with the International Society of Pediatric Oncology has recently launched a website called the Global COVID-19 Observatory and Resource Center aimed to tailor best practice updates and latest developments regarding the treatment of pediatric patients with cancer who contract COVID-19.

Additionally, the site includes a registry to report cases of COVID-19 in these patients with the goal of identifying COVID-19-related trends within this population.
