Many patients who are taking anticancer therapies experience dermatologic adverse events, so Ciccolini wanted to create an interdisciplinary approach that could help manage and treat these side effects. And so, the CREAM (communication, referral, education, encouragement, assessment, management and monitoring) principles were born.
