Welcome to OncLive On Air®! I’m your host today, Ashling Wahner.
OncLive On Air® is a podcast from OncLive®, which provides oncology professionals with the resources and information they need to provide the best patient care. In both digital and print formats, OncLive® covers every angle of oncology practice, from new technology to treatment advances to important regulatory decisions.
In today’s episode, we had the pleasure of speaking with Kevin Raskin, MD, for Oncology Fellows’ ongoing Advice From the Director series. Dr Raskin is chief of the Orthopaedic Oncology Service, director of the Musculoskeletal Oncology Fellowship Program, and associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.
In our exclusive interview, Dr Raskin discussed the road from fellow to fellowship director at Massachusetts General Hospital, the importance of transparency in a program amid increasing emphasis on health and wellness, and the skills a successful program should impart on their trainees.
Raskin also shared advice for physicians entering fellowship as well as those who may be doubtful of whether fellowship is right for them.
