Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC is pleased to welcome Board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist Tarek Eldawy, MD to the statewide practice.

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, LLC (FCS) is pleased to welcome Board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist Tarek Eldawy, MD to the statewide practice. He is providing care to patients at the FCS locations in Altamonte Springs, 106 Boston Ave, Suite 105, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701, Lake Nona, 6400 Sanger Road, Suite A-2400, Orlando, FL 32827 and Oviedo, 2572 W. SR 426, Suite 3080, Oviedo, FL 32765.

Nathan H. Walcker, FCS Chief Executive Officer, said, “Dr. Eldawy has received numerous accolades for exemplifying the highest standards of clinical excellence. He is an outstanding addition to our clinical and research team in Central Florida.”

Dr. Eldawy received his medical degree and a master’s in internal medicine from Alexandria University in Egypt. He completed internal medicine residency training at Alexandria University and at Michigan State University in East Lansing. He was awarded a fellowship in hematology and oncology and was named Chief Fellow at Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston.

FCS President & Managing Physician Lucio Gordan, MD said, “Dr. Eldawy has been a champion for clinical research throughout his career and he will play an integral role in our ongoing initiatives to advance innovations in cancer care.”

Dr. Eldawy joins FCS from Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, where he has served since 2007 as a staff oncologist and in multiple leadership roles, most recently as medical director and president of the medical staff.
